Joining KEMS

Why you might want to join KEMS
If you enjoy playing, singing or listening to good music, here are whole host of reasons you'll enjoy being a member of KEMS. And if you are under 26, membership is absolutely FREE (see below)!

Do you need me?
As with many amateur music societies applications to join are especially welcome from male voices in the choir and percussion/string players in the orchestra. However, if you are interested and don't fit one of those categories please do still contact us!

There are no auditions - just come along and see what we're up to. You can find all the details of times and venues by clicking on the relevant buttons on the left.

How much does it cost?
The annual membership fee for a single section - Macclesfield  Singers, Macclesfield Symphony Orchestra or Macclesfield Concert Band - is £95. If you would like to be a member of two or more sections, the annual fee is £150. Membership of Macclesfield Contemporary Ensemble is at present free.

KEMS is keen to involve more young people in music-making. If you are under 26 years of age, membership of KEMS is FREE. It ’s a great opportunity to develop your singing or playing skills - and making new friends with similar interests.
